There’s no question that motorcyclists are far more likely to be injured or killed in a traffic accident than car and truck drivers. Nationally, the fatality rate for motorcyclists was 60.03 per 100,000 registered vehicles in 2021 (the most recent year for which data are available), according to the Insurance Information Institute.
