J. Matthew Whitehead, Associate
Matt is an experienced civil litigator representing individuals,small businesses and some of the nation’s biggest corporations. He is a graduate of the South Carolina’s Honors College and the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina where he obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. Matt was also a member of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. Matt later obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law where was a member of the South Carolina Law Review and the legal fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. Since moving to the Upstate, Matt has completed Opportunity Greenville and the Trial Academy. Matt’s education and experience provides valuable insight into how insurance companies approach the litigation process. This allows Matt to closely work with his clients in protecting their legal rights from the initial claim stage through trial.

As a graduate of the University of South Carolina Law School, Mitchell Byrd has focused on litigation within the criminal justice system as an economics crime prosecutor within the South Carolina worker’s compensation system and for the Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office. Primarily Mr. Byrd practices in the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury and criminal defense.
