The Carolina Law Group, LLC, has two office locations in Greenville, one in Spartanburg, and one in Greer. The firm represents people in a variety of serious and time-sensitive matters, including personal injury, workers’ compensation, criminal defense, and immigration cases. The firm features a diverse staff, many bilingual in English and Spanish.
Partners Monty D. Desai and Nihar M. Patel founded The Carolina Law Group in Greenville, SC in 2011. Their vision was to create a law firm centered around the needs of the client rather than the needs of the firm, and to build a team who would represent those in most need of a voice. Shortly after forming the firm, Matt Whitehead and Mitchell Byrd, Jr. joined Monty and Nihar, and the support staff grew to include paralegals, legal assistants, legal investigators, and licensed adjusters – each dedicated to client satisfaction, customer service, and building an unimpeachable reputation in the community at large.
Why the Carolina Law Group?
Three reasons to choose The Carolina Law Group: The attention we give our clients, our collective experience, and our unfailing drive to serve our clients to the fullest.
Giving One-On-One Attention to Our Clients
When you work with The Carolina Law Group, you have regular access to and contact with the attorney or team of attorneys representing you in your case and your case manager. One of the biggest complaints people have about legal representation is how difficult it is to reach their attorney and to get answers on the progress of their case. That’s not a problem at The Carolina Law Group.
When you work with us, you will have your attorney’s cell phone number and you can expect regular updates. We understand that for our clients, what they are going through is not just another case, but likely one of the most stressful and devastating experiences of their lives. We are here to lessen that burden, not add to it. Call us and allow us the opportunity to help.
Bringing Together a Variety of Experience On All Sides
This variety of experiences helps inform how they approach cases for their current clients, in some situations fighting against the very kinds of defendants they used to represent, with an understanding of how a case is seen by both sides. Add to this years of experience with the structured, procedural worlds of immigration law and workers’ compensation law, and extensive litigation experience for all four attorneys, and you can see how well the attorneys at The Carolina Law Group complement each other.

Serving Our Clients to the Fullest
The Carolina Law Group is not interested in taking and settling as many cases as possible. We’re interested in seeing each case through to the end and reaching the best possible outcome, using our collective knowledge and skills, whether that means going to trial or coming to a fair and just agreement beforehand.
The advice is often given that it’s best to avoid a trial at all costs, as litigation is unpleasant. However, the trial system is in place to give remedy to people who have been wronged, and sometimes it is the only way to achieve a fair and just verdict or settlement. Monty, Nihar, Mitchell, and Matt are all experienced, passionate litigators who are not deterred from taking a case to court when it’s in our client’s best interest. We understand how important persistence and dedication are when it comes to seeking full and fair compensation.
